India, officially the Republic of India, is the largest country in South Asia. It is the seventh-largest country by geographical area, the second-most populous country with over 1.3 billion people, and the most populous democracy in the world. Bounded by the Indian Ocean on the south, the Arabian Sea on the west, and the Bay of Bengal on the east. It is bordered by Pakistan to the west; China, Nepal, and Bhutan to the north; and Bangladesh and Burma to the east. source: wikipedia Franklin Conference Mission Board Involvement Franklin Conference Mission Board is supporting the work of Kristalaya Mercy Missionsin West Bengal, India. The Mission Board is providing financial resources to support teachers and schools in the Midnapur and Siliguri areas of West Bengal. The Mission Board has also raised funds to purchase a piece of land where a training and worship center is being built. In 2007, Fran Martin (Salem Ridge) traveled to India to visit a friend. During that trip she became acquainted with KMM. She was drawn to their ministry among the Hindu and Muslim people. Fran returned with a passion for India. A proposal was presented and accepted by FMCMB and support began in November 2009.
