Jagannath was raised in poverty and because his father was blind with no means of support, he often begged in the train stations to support the family. There family became Christian when Jagannath was about 12 years old. He was able to go to Bible school and received a Masters of Divinity. After working with Gospel for Asia for several years his heart was drawn back to his people in West Bengal. His passion is to see Jesus become known in West Bengal. West Bengal is one of the world's most unreached places with millions of people never having the opportunity to hear about Jesus and Christianity. Only .5% of the people are Christian. Hindu is the main religion but there are also a sizable number of Muslims.
