Support for Travis and Bekii Kisamore (Falling Spring Presbyterian) began in August 2009. Their work in Chile includes leading Bible studies for adults and children and building relationships with the people of Quemchi, Chile. To develop relationships Travis enjoys playing basketball with the men and Bekii participates in a weekly aerobics class with the women.

The majority of people in Quemchi are Catholic, though very few are practicing

Cultural Understanding: Travis was waiting for wood to arrive at the
house (all homes are heated by wood stoves). The wood man called and said he would
be there in "Un ratito", literally translated "in a little bit". Travis waited and
waited and waited and eventually gave up and left. The wood man called me back 8 hours
later wondering where Travis was at. Travis thought "Where am I at...it's been 8
hours...where we you at?" Travis learned that when some one tells you in "un
ratito", it means possibly sometime today but probably tomorrow.
God at Work:
After a devastating time in the life of a friend here, two of the children of the
family came to the house to talk and pray. The boy expressed, not
disappointment in God, but that he felt the devil had done this to try to
destroy his family. His faith and his insight at such a young age were really
